Thank you for this video. It has been useful to get some insight into the review process. And please continue to put out great content on this channel!

However, as a channel that has been covering this extensively over the past year and listening to a lot of individual stories from our community this still leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

1. There appear to be many channels that have been in the review process for months, sometimes dating back to last year. They have no indication of when they will get an update or even IF they will get an update. And of course, there is no official way to contact YouTube regarding this specific issue. It seems as if many channels have slipped through a crack and will never be reviewed. Why does this happen?

2. If HUMANS have the final say then the HUMAN should have some form of accountability to the video creator. Once an automated reply is given to the video creator with no specific guidelines on what to fix and how to fix it they are left with two choices: randomly delete videos that they think violate guidelines or give up. When the review decision is sent it should include who reviewed it and a brief, personalized (this is the most important aspect of this whole process) report of why - even if it's 200 characters or something.

3. How LONG do reviewers spend on these channels? We've often had conversations with creators where I've looked at a channel, given some feedback and through the course of a small amount of dialogue I can get a better understanding of the state of the channel. One thing I keep seeing are video creators with original film, documentary, television content that they produced that, to a reviewer may seem like copyright material but needs further investigation and COMMUNICATION with the video creator to understand.

We appreciate that a large number of channels that go into review and are ultimately rejected are done so for legitimate reasons, but from our experience talking to our community, hundreds, if not thousands of channels are falling into this review and then not getting review they deserve for the hard work they have put into reaching 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watchtime.

My biggest question is why is there no dialog between the creator & YouTube. A system where sub-minimum wage reviewers & AI review channels isn't a successful, or sustainable approach. Why not operate this system like any other Partner Program and actually have a call with the creator to discuss eligibility​.

I have given up. YouTube won...
