Насколько я помню боты долбятся вначале часто (чуть ли не каждую минуту), потом всё реже и реже.
Напр Я.метрика мне присылает письма о недоступности сайтов клиентов в течении макс 5ти минут. И когда решается проблема (от неск минут до суток макс) - опять же почти стразу я получаю письмо что всё ОК.
Но если что - я на одну метрику не надеюсь - использую и др. сервисы мониторинга.

Eg Ya.metrika sends me letters about the unavailability of customer sites within 5-minutes max. And when the problem is solved (Multiplayer from minutes to days max) - again, almost a paste I get an email that everything is OK.
But if that - I do not expect one metric - use monitoring and other services..
Блин, точно. Мой косяк - не учел, что защиты от дурака много не бывает :) Или наверное отсутствие такой защиты это уже косяк ВП.
