При отправке сообщения.

К примеру: mail($to, 'test', 'test);

придет сообщение на адрес $to с текстом

test

Т.е. с пустой строчкой перед текстом.

Попробовал поставить из исходников. Вроде установился. но вот только проги которые его требовали по прежнему его не видят ((( Как так?

Вам надо репозиторий подключать, а не отдельный пакет ставить. гуглите по поводу rpmforge, epel, centalt

Все подключил, ни в одном нету версии выше 1.33

боюсь что придется выкачать все зависимости boost-date-time , boost-filesystem, и т.д
wget -A boost\*1.44\* ftp://195.220.108.108/linux/fedora/development/rawhide/x86_64/os/Packages/\*
потом ставим
rpm -Uvh boost*.rpm

Сделал так, пакеты загрузились. Но устанавливаться не захотели:

качаешь и устанавливаешь rpm -Uvh ... .rpm

Подойдет rpm от Fedora к CentOS ?
