Google устранил баг, связанный с soft 404

На прошлой неделе специалисты отрасли начали жаловаться на то, что Google ошибочно определяет их действующие страницы как soft 404, из-за чего они теряют позиции и трафик. Как выяснилось, это было связано с изменением в обработке soft 404 на стороне поисковой системы.

Похоже, что инженеры поиска уже устранили эту проблему. Те владельцы сайтов, которые наблюдали эту ошибку по своим ресурсам, заметили улучшения:

A few days later we saw that Google fixed it also on their side so such cases don't happen anymore

Thousands of pages on our site were simply dropped out of Google’s index “poof”, since they incorrectly labeled them as soft 404s

This can happen to any page at any time, while our homepage was not impacted, other pages that were in our top most trafficked just disappeared

Что касается реакции Google, то расширенных комментариев по этому поводу в компании не давали. По словам сотрудника поиска Джона Мюллера, данная проблема затронула ограниченное количество сайтов.
