Законный смена url сайта в DMOZ

Такая ситуация есть сайт, который находится в DMOZ, он на бесплатном хостинге, соответственно домен третьего уровня. На данный момент сайт перебирается на домен в зоне RU.
Хотел узнать может ли редактор моей рубрики в DMOZ поменять старый url, на новый в каталоге с сохранением или изменением описания?
Редактоы каталога это вопрос прежде всего к Вам!
Жду ваших комментарий к этой проблеме.

Здесь нет никакой проблемы, воспользуйтесь ссылкой "Обновить URL" на странице раздела. Если редакторы сочтут Ваши пожелания уместными они внесут соответствующие коррективы.;)

[English] We are currently experiencing technical problems with our servers. Currently the public pages are static pages that have been generated from a backup. This means:

(1) the public pages do not reflect the most recent updates made to the directory;

(2) scripted pages, including site suggestion and application forms, are not functioning; and

(3) editors are unable to check the status of new editor applications.

We do not currently have an ETA for the resolution of the technical difficulties. We will update this announcement when the system is fully functioning again -- please do not start threads asking why the system isn't working properly or when it will be available again. Thanks.

Following discussion by, and consensus of Moderators and Administrators of this forum, we have chosen to discontinue site status checks effective May 21, 2005. Closure of the existing Site Submission Status forums will happen by this date, and we will not be accepting any new status check threads after this time. The submission status forums will be archived.

There were a number of factors involved in making this decision, but probably the biggest was that these requests were always beyond the mission of this forum. The original mandate of this forum was to put a better light on the ODP by allowing the public to interact directly with the editors. At some point the submission status requests seem to have taken over and almost become the focus.

Our feedback indicates that the information we are giving out really is not a practical help in the vast majority of cases. People want information we either simply do not have or cannot for confidentiality reasons give out. Therefore, despite our communications, the existence of the status check forum raises unrealistic expectations, leading to more frustration but no satisfaction, for anyone.

We also found that a large number of people have regularly ignored the "rationing" policies set up, and this problem is getting worse. Much of the editors' time here is simply spent playing monitor, and that isn't productive for the editor whose basic mandate is really to be building a better ODP, not monitoring threads on Resource-Zone.

Participation on this forum is a volunteer activity beyond being an editor on the ODP, so the number of editors who participate here often fluctuates. Unfortunately, this means that when there are fewer editors who are active here they naturally feel obliged to do even more work than we should expect of volunteers who ought to be spending their time editing anyway.

Since March 2004, the link Contact us (at the footer of the page) leads to a form mailer instead of an email link. This link is provided to enable users to communicate with us about site problems. Since the change it has cut down on the amount of spam that this email address used to receive. However one problem has come about since the switch. People are using the link to request status of sites they submitted for review. This site no longer offers site suggestion status checks. Period. Any email sent using the Contact Us link is filtered. The only emails that get through are questions concerning this site.


The Contact Us link should be used for the following and the following only:

* Problems activating your account here.
* Problems logging into your account here.
* Site bugs that you encounter that you can't post in our bugs and features forum here at Resource Zone.

The Contact Us link should not be used for the following:

* Site status requests or questions about how to suggest a site. We stopped offering site suggestion status checks in May of 2005. Please do not e-mail us about them and please do not post requests in the forum about them.
* Editor application or reinstatement status requests.
* Abuse reports.
* Reports of dead or changed links in the ODP data. There's a thread stickied at the top of the Abuse Reporting forum for that or you can use the "Update URL" option on the actual ODP category.
* Questions about how to use the ODP data.
* Questions/comments about the ODP.
* Requests for link exchanges.
* Anything else not explicitly about the functioning of this forum.

Any feedback sent that fits into the second category above goes directly to the spam folder never to be seen again. For all of those questions (with the exception of the first item, which is not appropriate at all in this forum), use the appropriate forum here. That is what the forum was set up for.
