Hello SEO fellowers,

Sorry i dont speak Russian. I have a question that only someone from Russian can help me.

I have a .com site that ranks very well on 1st page of Google on my keywords but i also need to rank it on google.ru with the same keywords translated in russian. (note: keyword includes one word of my country)

So my question is:

Is it better to apply SEO on my .com site using the russian keywords as is?

Or do i need to get an .ru domain and create new website to rank?

Note: My website has a lot of Russian written content

It is better to you to keep your .com domain (which has some trust) than to take care about new domain...

Bonjour,

My site also with .com and contains three languages: Eng, Rus, Fr.

It seems there is not any difference for the Google.

google.ru shows results depending on the language of the request. It is obvious that domains in ru-zone mainly content russian language. So I think ru-domain will have more prefferences than com-domain

Well obviously the .ru domain has more chances to rank better in Russian keywords than the .com domain. But the question is if its worth it to create a new website for only Russian keywords when you already have a website with Russian content and seo value in it.

So for me its like that

.ru domain option

- Need new website

- Need new content

- Zero SEO, need to seo again

- More value from Russian keywords

.com domain option

- No need of website

- Already have Russian content

- Already done a lot of seo

- Need more work to rank in Russian keywords

So whats the better decision?
