Do not drive and operate machinery until you know exactly how you react to Vicodin ES. Avoid drinking alcohol because it can increase the possibility of side effects. Besides that you may damage your liver if alcohol is combined with one of the components of Vicodin ES – acetaminophen. Vicodin ES should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy period because of the risk of harm to an unborn baby. Consult with your doctor about all the risks of taking Vicodin ES while you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Before taking any other medicine besides Vicodin ES, pay attention if it contains acetaminophen in order to avoid taking too much of it. Do not use any other over-the-counter cough, cold, allergy, or pain medication without first asking your pharmacist.

Do not share Vicodin ES with people whom it was not prescribed to.
