Почему в одиночестве-то? IDN домены поддерживаются на уровне доменных зон. В том числе международных. И всеми современными браузерами поддерживаются. Отличие только в том как имя отображается в адресной строке.

I can speak and read Russian but i can not write in Russian, so i will have to answer you in English.
I recommend you use Dynadot .com because they offer the most convenient interface.
You can transfer domains from any registrar to any other registrar.

FYI, if you register пример.com you have the right to the idn.idn of that domain (пример.ком) which are expected to come out on the second half of 2010.

I have a lot of official material from ICANN/GNSO/JIG and other working groups about the topic so don't make the mistake of not checking facts before making a decision.
There is still a lot of opportunity with IDN domains, but the window of opportunity is closing.
